A well-designed space does more than look beautiful. It tells a story — reflecting personality, lifestyle, aspirations, and the people who call it home.

For Belle Yemofio, Founder and Creative Director of EllenDavis Interior Design, helping clients tell that story has become both a profession and a passion.

Thirteen Years Before the Pivot

Before launching EllenDavis Interior Design, Belle spent more than thirteen years working in banking. Throughout those years, she found herself continually drawn toward creative projects, decorating homes for family and friends and searching for unique design pieces during her travels.

Raised by an architect father and a mother who enjoyed creating handcrafted pieces for the home, Belle grew up in an environment where design was woven into everyday life. That foundation eventually inspired a career change that transformed a longtime passion into a thriving business.

“Transitioning from banking to interior design taught me that it’s never too late to pursue your passion or reinvent yourself.”

“While banking gave me discipline, structure, and business acumen, interior design gave me the freedom to express my creativity and create something truly meaningful,” Belle says. “I’ve learned that success isn’t simply about financial rewards or professional titles, but about finding purpose in what you do, embracing change, and having the courage to follow your dreams.”

International Recognition

Today, EllenDavis Interior Design provides a full range of services including space planning, design conceptualization, sourcing, styling, and project implementation across residential homes, offices, and hospitality environments throughout Ghana and beyond.

In 2024, the firm was recognized at the International Property Awards for Best Residential Interior Apartment in Africa, Best Residential Interior Apartment in Ghana, and Best Interior Design Website in Ghana.

“People spend a significant part of their lives in the spaces they create,” she says. “A well-designed environment should support how they live, work, and feel.”

Belle shares her approach to design in her book, The Art and Science of Interior Design.
