Editorial Policy

Last updated October 19, 2026

HerNewswire tells the stories of women building businesses, launching products, and sharing their work, alongside the people and brands supporting them. This policy explains how we choose, label, and publish those stories.

Two Kinds of Stories

Editorial Spotlights are chosen independently by our editorial team. No one pays to be included, and story ideas, including your own, are always welcome.

Sponsored Features are paid. They are clearly labeled “Sponsored Feature” at the top of the story, so readers always know the difference.

Affiliated Brands

Some brands we cover are affiliated with HerNewswire. When that is the case, the story says so in a disclosure at the end.

What We Publish

We feature businesses, products, services, and people whose work serves women. Every story, paid or not, must meet our standards for accuracy and fit.

What We Don’t Publish

Health Information

Health and wellness stories must be accurate and responsible. We do not publish claims that a product or treatment cures disease or guarantees results. Practitioners must be appropriately licensed for the services they describe, and our health stories are not medical advice.

Accuracy and Corrections

We work to get every detail right. Facts such as sales figures, awards, and credentials are attributed to their source. If you spot an error, email hello@hernewswire.com and we will correct it promptly.

Our Discretion

HerNewswire may decline, edit, or remove any story that does not meet this policy. If we decline a paid submission, we refund the payment in full.
