Attorneys Olivia Smith and Nicola Robinson of SR Law Group are on a mission to help families plan ahead — before life forces them to.
Many families spend years building a life they are proud of — a home, savings, land, family traditions. Yet far too often, important conversations about protecting those assets are delayed until a crisis forces them to happen.
At SR Law Group, attorneys Olivia Smith and Nicola Robinson are working to change that. Based in Douglasville, Georgia, SR Law Group is a boutique Black-owned law firm providing estate planning, probate, long-term care planning, guardianship, and adoption services to families across Georgia.
Olivia Smith, a Georgia native and Spelman College graduate, has practiced law for fifteen years. Her relationship with her grandparents, and the challenges her family experienced due to a lack of planning, brought her into the world of estate planning and probate.
"I am passionate about educating and empowering families to make different decisions that can literally change the trajectory of their family through estate planning," Smith shares.
Nicola Robinson's transition into estate planning was shaped by the sudden death of her grandmother, which left her father in conflict with siblings over family land. That experience became her mission — helping families avoid the uncertainty and emotional strain that arises when planning is incomplete.
Through the Black Parents Aging Podcast, Smith and Robinson discuss practical issues affecting families with aging loved ones, including elder fraud, long-term care, caregiving, and preserving dignity as parents age.
